TO KYA VISHWA YUDH THA RAM RAVANA YUDH

The Ramayana is one of the most popular epics of India. Ramanaya is a word composite of Rama and Ayana. Ayana means abode, path mobility, speed, a state of life and dynamism, time and age, the sun’s relative position with respect to earth and so on.

Rama entertains as well as informs, while presenting to us a model of ideal human being. He is considered as “ Maryada Purshottam Ram” meaning a person whose actions are purely according to divines call, do all the things in manner which neither contradicts religion nor righteousness.

Ravana, an egoistic man, the demon king. He was admirer of Lord Shiva. He presented his head ten times to him. He asked Rama too, as far as the value based perception of brahmana was considered. Rama and Ravana are two aspects of same entity the point of demarcation between them shall keep on shifting according to the state of changing social values.

Rama, Prince of Ayodhya- a suffer of harsh circumstances, leading to his “14 year vanvas” or stay in forest. Where his wife Sita was abducted by Ravana leading to a war, in which Rama was victorious. Rama himself considered his victory as victory of

“Dharma” over “Adharma”

“ Truth” over “ Lie”

“ Brightness” over “ Darkness”

These all things simply mean, winner is the one who is with righteousness.

On Ramayana a lot of mythological books are written not in our countries but in other countries too, Valmiki’s Ramayana, Ramcharitramanas by Tulsidas, Thailand’s Ramayana (ram Kiyan), Malaysia’s Ramayana( Hi Kayat Sariram) and Indonesia’s Ramayana etc. A close study of all these epics reveals that the “Rama” - “Ravana” war was not as simple as it looks on stages of “Ramleela” (a function organized in India to show the story of Rama’s life). Rather it was a war fought between two very good warriors and their political and high quality intelligence team. Present countries namely Arab, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and some other fought for Ravana while Rama was having a decent, devoted & working support of Sugriv, Hanuman, Maharishi, Agatsya and Indra.

According to Indonesian Ramayana, Rama’s force was divided into seven division while their were 10 in Ravanas. Ravana was accomplished with navy and fine air force, of which rama was totally lacking. Ravana therefore loves to attack through air which made rama to face tremendous problems in replying from ground.

Later Indra supported Rama and gave his “vayuyan” or the plane with “chalaka” or the pilot. Maharishi agatsya and his other companions “rishis” or the saints also had Rama by giving precious “astra- shastra” or the weapons, they also disclosed some very important secrets of ravana’s force : about their management. The arms and the ammunitions used at that time were no less than those we are having now. Some weapons return back after attacking the enemy.

We have read a lot of the “jalyaan” the ships, ”vayuyan” the planes & the “pandubbi”

The submarines in our Vedas also .They were used on a large scale in that war. They were used on a large scale in that war , causing the destruction & drowning of a big part of lanka & south India. This might be the reason why we don’t have any history of lanka for a period of 2500yr after the war.

A myth should be removed about the war, that the fighter’s i.e. warriors were not human. Rather they were, in fact ravana himself belonged to “rakshasa Jaati” but he was actually a man with 2 hands & a head only. According to a myth “rakshasha jaati” was founded by Ravana . Let anyone be the founder, but these giants or “rakshshsa” were human only. Same way (vanaras, does not mean monkey, rather it mean a creed who wore monkey’s mask during there festival & a langur capes was printed on their flag. This point is specified in padam puran also.

Rama’s main base camp was most probably at Rameshwaram where all warrior’s were summoned, weapons were gathered or assembled. From there only all arms were made available for warriors. His force was having six general, laxmana, sugriva, hanumana, angada , nala & kapishwara.

Jamwanta was chief of medical department & engineering was under nala. It was nala’s effort which made it possible to have a floating bridge on sea from India to coast of lanka.

One battalion of rama’s force mored from gulf of lanka .It’s main aim was not to fight , rather just to divert the attention of ravana from main spot of battle. It performed, its job nicely & created a very illusion in Ravana eyes.

Rama’s big and real; battalion reached to lanka via pottalam, chilar, kalyani, kaloor etc. which was vibhishana’s area of ruling. From other’s direction Rama moved with a Battalion to Lanka.

Sita also played a part. She was not a kind of woman who just lived lonely, cried all the time. While she made some friends out of maids appointed by Ravana for her. She used them to perform detective works for Sita. It was Sita who called vibhishana and assured that you will be made the king of lanka after the decline of Ravana’s rule.

She was having a gadget of size 2 mm* 2mm or can say about a size of housefly. Which she used to talk to vibhishana and got all information of war from this gadget only.

All these information and instances simply tell us that this war was not a simple as we have framed it in our minds. Rather from this point of view it was a kind of world war only.
